Sermorelin is a small protein fragment that tells the body's master gland to release more growth hormone. It works like a messenger. It was once sold as a medicine for children and adults who did not make enough growth hormone. Today, some clinics offer it through a doctor, and some lab suppliers sell it for research only.

Sermorelin tells a part of the brain called the pituitary gland to let out growth hormone. Growth hormone helps with growth, strong muscles, good sleep, energy, and healing. Doctors used it to check and treat growth problems. Some adults use it hoping for better sleep, more energy, and a healthier body, but these uses are not well proven.

The strong science on Sermorelin is old and mostly about growth problems in children. We do not have big, careful studies showing it helps healthy people feel younger or stronger. It can cause side effects like soreness where the shot is given, headaches, or flushing. People should only use it with a real doctor's care, and research products sold online are not checked for safety or purity.

Mechanism of Action

Sermorelin is a synthetic analog of growth hormone releasing hormone comprising the biologically active N-terminal 1-29 fragment of GHRH. It stimulates the pituitary to release endogenous GH and is FDA-approved as a provocative (stimulation) diagnostic test for growth hormone deficiency, principally in children.
