GHK-Cu is a small piece of protein that is naturally found in your body. It is a protein chunk attached to a copper atom. It is not an approved medicine. Sellers offer it as a powder or liquid for skin creams and for research use.

Scientists have studied it most for skin health. It may help skin look firmer by helping the body build collagen, which is the stuff that keeps skin stretchy and strong. It may also help wounds heal and calm skin irritation. Most of this evidence comes from skin and lab studies, not from large tests in people.

There is still a lot we do not know. One recent review of six popular peptides found almost no strong human studies proving real benefits, and most studies were done only in animals. That means claims you see online may be bigger than the proof. Talk to a doctor before using it, and be careful with products bought online, since their purity and safety are not checked by any government.

mg vs mcg: one milligram (mg) equals 1,000 micrograms (mcg) — multiply by 1,000 going from mg to mcg, divide by 1,000 going from mcg to mg. Mixing the two up is a thousand-fold dosing error: 1 mg taken instead of 1 mcg is a 1,000× overdose; 1 mcg instead of 1 mg is a 1,000× underdose. Mechanism of Action

GHK is a naturally occurring tripeptide (Gly-His-Lys) that binds Cu2+ (GHK-Cu) and modulates expression of numerous genes involved in tissue repair. Stimulates synthesis of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans; promotes wound healing and angiogenesis; modulates metalloproteinases (e.g., MMP-2). Evidence is largely in vitro, animal, and small clinical/topical cosmetic studies.
