Also called: TP-7, Selank Semax Peptide Stack, Semax and Selank Combination

By The Health Stacks Research TeamUpdated September 14, 2026

Selank is a small man-made substance that researchers are studying to see how it affects the brain. It is a type of compound called a peptide, which is like a very short piece of protein. Scientists made it to copy a part of a natural body chemical that helps the brain work. It is mostly looked at by experts in a lab setting to learn about brain health and how we handle stress.

The main reason researchers look at Selank is for its possible effect on mood and worry. Studies suggest it might help calm the mind and reduce feelings of fear or nervousness. It works by interacting with the systems in the brain that control how we feel emotions. Some research also shows it might help with learning and memory, making it a subject of interest for brain health.

While it shows promise in early studies, Selank is not a proven medicine for people yet. Most of the research so far has been done on animals or in small test settings, so we do not know all the long-term effects. It is important to know that it is made for research only and is not checked by health groups for regular use. Scientists are still working to understand exactly how safe and effective it is for humans.

Approved*Selank is an approved medicine in Russia for generalized anxiety and stress-related disorders; it is not approved by the US FDA or the EMA. It is not on the FDA's Section 503A Bulks List, remains an unapproved new drug under the FD&C Act, and cannot lawfully be compounded by traditional 503A pharmacies in the US. High confidence60–79 — backed by solid sources with good corroboration across multiple citations.

SubQ

  • Selank: 200–300 mcg; Semax: 200–400 mcg 85/100Rated 85/100Source typePeer-reviewed studyIndependent sources1Every claim links to the page it came from, and stronger sources rate higher. Full methodology →↗ source

mg vs mcg: one milligram (mg) equals 1,000 micrograms (mcg) — multiply by 1,000 going from mg to mcg, divide by 1,000 going from mcg to mg. Mixing the two up is a thousand-fold dosing error: 1 mg taken instead of 1 mcg is a 1,000× overdose; 1 mcg instead of 1 mg is a 1,000× underdose. Always double-check the unit label and the decimal place.
