GLP-2 is a small protein made in the body. It comes from the gut and helps with digestion. Scientists look at it to see how it helps the body heal and grow. It is mostly used by researchers in labs. They want to see how it can help sick people get better. It is not a pill you can buy at a store for daily use.

This peptide works by telling the gut to grow and fix itself. It helps the body take in food and nutrients better. It makes the lining of the stomach and intestines stronger. This helps protect the gut from getting hurt. It also slows down how fast food moves through the body. This gives the body more time to get energy from food.

We still do not know everything about how GLP-2 works in people. Most studies have been done on animals or in test tubes. We need more tests to make sure it is safe for humans. There are some drugs made from it, but they are for specific sicknesses. You should be careful because it is not fully tested yet. It is important to follow safety rules when handling it.

mg vs mcg: one milligram (mg) equals 1,000 micrograms (mcg) — multiply by 1,000 going from mg to mcg, divide by 1,000 going from mcg to mg. Mixing the two up is a thousand-fold dosing error: 1 mg taken instead of 1 mcg is a 1,000× overdose; 1 mcg instead of 1 mg is a 1,000× underdose.
