On November 4, 2025, contract manufacturer CordenPharma announced a more than €500 million greenfield peptide manufacturing facility at Getec Park in Muttenz, Switzerland (canton of Basel-Landschaft), designed for small-, medium-, and large-scale peptide development and production using SPPS reactors with combined capacity exceeding 5,000 liters. The plant — part of a broader >€1 billion, multi-year expansion across Europe and the U.S. — is expected to create over 300 jobs and underpins a strategic target of more than €1 billion in peptide-business sales by 2028. The investment is the latest in a wave of peptide-CDMO capacity build-outs chasing GLP-1 demand.
