Researchers investigated the anti-biofilm peptide DJK-5 in combination with antibiotics against polymicrobial infections. In vitro and in vivo studies showed that DJK-5 sensitizes Staphylococcus aureus to colistin and Pseudomonas aeruginosa to daptomycin, overcoming the typical resistance of these pathogens in co-biofilms.
